PCT National Phase Entry in India

Send the PCT reference and your instruction. Jidoka checks the matter against the national phase requirements, identifies anything missing and returns the professional and official fees before you commit to anything.

What to send

Start with what you already have. Jidoka reads the instruction as it arrives and identifies the gaps rather than discovering them at the deadline.

  • PCT publication or application reference
  • Applicant and inventor details available to you
  • Priority and bibliographic material
  • Desired filing scope and your client reference
  • Any known timing, ownership or formalities issue

What you receive before authorising

The professional fee, the applicable official fee, the filing requirements, the missing information, any matter-specific issue and the next step. You decide. Then the matter moves.

Once authorised

The instruction becomes an operating matter. The docket is created, the thirty-one month date and every dependent internal date are calculated from the rule, documents are attached, your playbook is applied, forms are prepared and the application data is checked — then the package goes to an experienced Indian patent professional for review.

  1. 01
Docket opened and matter data extracted
  2. 02
    Statutory and internal deadlines calculated
  3. 03
    Client playbook applied
  4. 04
    Filing package prepared
  5. 05
    Professional review
  6. 06
    Filing and filing event recorded
  7. 07
    Client report and invoice
  8. 08
    Ongoing prosecution workflow opened

After filing

The filing event is written to the record, the next statutory action is identified and the prosecution workflow opens. The matter stays under continuous monitoring — request for examination timing, FER, and every dependent internal preparation date.

Defined work. Defined fees.

A standard filing is not an unknowable event, and neither is much of recurring prosecution. For defined work you should know what is included, what it costs, what the official fee is, what information is required and what happens next — before the work begins. For larger portfolios and foreign associate relationships we can establish standing fee schedules and agreed workflows. One matter or one hundred: the more structured the relationship, the less each instruction has to start from zero.

Questions

What instructing teams ask.

Can foreign law firms and corporate IP teams instruct JidokaIP directly?

Yes. Send the instruction by email as you would to any associate. JidokaIP operates as an India execution layer for international IP firms, foreign patent attorneys, corporate IP departments and portfolio teams.

Is Jidoka an attorney?

No. Jidoka is an agentic operating intelligence. Professionals make the legal decisions. Jidoka makes sure the operation keeps moving.

Do we need to adopt a portal or new software?

No. Your email is the operating input. There is no portal for your team to learn, no spreadsheet to maintain and no duplicate data entry.

How are deadlines calculated?

Deterministically, from the triggering event and the statutory or internal rule that governs it. The calculation is inspectable and versioned. Rules protect the deadline. Jidoka runs the work around it.

Can we set standing instructions for our portfolio?

Yes. Reminder cadence, reporting recipients, escalation contacts, PO rules, billing entities, cost approvals, signature routes and naming conventions can all be recorded in your client playbook and applied to every matter automatically.

Will we know what defined work costs before it begins?

For defined filing work you receive the professional fee, the applicable official fee, the filing requirements, anything missing and the next step before you authorise. Standing fee schedules can be agreed for recurring work and larger portfolios.

Can we send a batch of national phase instructions at once?

Yes. Send them separately, in a single email or as a spreadsheet. Each becomes its own docketed matter with its own deadlines, and each receives the same treatment.

Can we instruct you to hold the request for examination?

Yes. Record it once — for example, do not request examination until separately instructed — and it stays attached to the matter for the life of the prosecution.

Begin

Send one instruction and watch it become a matter.

No portal, no onboarding, no data entry. Email the instruction the way you already work, and see what the docket does with it.
